2008 Job Fair, Job Training and Small Business Summit
Senator Evan Bayh, in conjunction with Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel and WorkOne hosted a job fair and small business summit on October 14, 2008. More than 400 Tri-State residents turned out to find jobs, training and other aids in their job search. Sixty-five different area businesses turned out to provide job seekers with employment possibilities, job search skills and training opportunities. Also present were services to help current business people grow their small business and help budding entrepreneurs get started. Senator Bayh was on hand to receive an award and to outline his plan for new small business incentives.
Office Training was there as well, providing information on available training and certification programs. We spoke to many job seekers about the difficulty of finding positions in the current climate. More and more employers require potential employees to have specific skills before they can even be considered for a position. Office Training can help. Whether it’s a single class to brush up your Microsoft Word skills or a weeklong networking class we provide hands on training by certified instructors. Check out our training specials, view the calendar and call us today to sign up!
In the mean time, here are a few photos from the day.
